Join the WJC for ‘Preventing Suicide In Our Community’

Join the Wichita Journalism Collaborative for a free evidence-based suicide prevention training tailored to members of the greater Wichita arts community. This training is offered with the understanding that art and artists have the power to change hearts and minds. This is an opportunity to learn evidence-based practices around community mental health that have the potential to inform your practice.

Each year, many people recover from a suicidal crisis. As a community, we can learn how to help people in need.

The session will be presented by Dr. Jessica Provines, WSU’s Assistant Vice President for Wellness & Chief Psychologist.

Pizza will be provided for participants, so registration is strongly encouraged but not required. The first 100 registrants will receive a free Suspenders4Hope t-shirt.
