CityArts (334 N. Mead St., Wichita, KS)
Each year many people recover from a suicidal crisis. As a community, we can learn how to help people in need.
Join the Wichita Journalism Collaborative and the #WeSupportU Suspenders4Hope team for an evidence-based suicide prevention training and paint night at CityArts. This training is an opportunity to learn how you can help spread the message of hope and healing in our community.
The session will be presented by Dr. Jessica Provines, WSU’s Assistant Vice President for Wellness & Chief Psychologist. As you take part in the suicide prevention training and paint a picture of your hope, you can enjoy an assortment of hors d’oeuvres and a specialty mocktail.
Admission to this event is free, but registration is highly encouraged. Participants receive a FREE Suspenders4Hope t-shirt. Let us know if you’ll be there!
A special thank you to Wichita Journalism Collaborative partners: The Active Age, The Community Voice, The Journal (Kansas Leadership Center), KMUW, KSN-TV, The Sunflower, The Wichita Beacon, The Wichita Eagle, the Wichita Public Library, Planeta Venus and The Elliott School of Communication at Wichita State University.
