Thursday, September 14, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Advanced Learning Library in Wichita (711 W. 2nd St.), members of the Wichita Journalism Collaborative will be celebrating Democracy Day by hosting a chat about local elections in the News Connect pop-up newsroom. We want to hear from you: “What do you want the candidates to be talking about as they compete for votes?” Plus, we’ll bring donuts to sweeten the deal!
A non-partisan journalism collaboration, #DemocracyDay is all about addressing the challenges facing American democracy and bringing various media outlets together for a day of informative discussions. The Wichita Journalism Collaborative promotes transparent reporting on the issues that matter most, helping you understand how decisions by our officials impact our community.
Let’s strengthen democracy together! Look for us in the Rolland Eakins TEC-Novation Room on the main floor of the library.
