This year’s selection is Sitting Pretty: The View From My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body by Rebekah Taussig. Sitting Pretty is a memoir in essays spanning personal stories and family histories from Taussig’s childhood growing up paralyzed from the waist down. It includes the obstacles she faced when trying to find accessible, affordable housing.
