Fall News Fair, Sat., Nov. 23, 12-2 p.m. Oaklawn Activity Center, 4904 S. Clifton Ave.

We’re connecting with the Oaklawn neighborhood and the surrounding community on Saturday, Nov. 23, from noon-2 p.m. with live music, delicious food and coffee! The Fall News Fair, which will be held at the Oaklawn Activity Center, 4904 S Clifton Ave., is an opportunity for us to connect with people and introduce them to the media partners and organizations in the WJC. We’ll also be joined by WSU Tech, Alce Su Voz, GraceMed and Wichita Documenters. Daisy Sosa – “La Wapa” – will bring the music to our event. Las Adelitas Cafe will provide coffee. We’ll also have tamales. You’ll also have a chance to to win a Thanksgiving Feast Basket. We want to meet the community and learn what stories need to be covered and what are the concerns. The idea for the news fair comes from Planeta Venus.
